Z2B: Inspection
↓
Zero to Barbell: Inspection is a physical assessment that will identify the weak, stiff, and tight areas of your body preventing you from performing basic barbell exercises with passable technique and increasing your odds of injury.
This is for beginners that want to make sure their bodies have the basic movement requirements needed for most barbell exercises. This is also for beat-down veterans that can't train without experiencing crippling pain (probably because they didn't make sure their bodies had the basic movement requirements needed for most barbell exercises).
After enrollment, I'll contact you via email and ask you to record yourself performing an assortment of exercises and stretches. I'll evaluate you across five categories: squatting, hinging, pressing, pulling, and overheading. I'll evaluate one category before moving to the next.
Within one week of submitting your videos, you will get a personal response from me with the results of your assessment. These results will reveal what's holding you back from performing basic barbell exercises within each category with passable technique, as well as probable causes of pain during basic barbell exercises.
Keep in mind, I am not a medical professional; I can't give you medical advice. Assessments are based on the gap between [what your joints should be capable of] and [what your joints are actually capable of].
Also, total injury prevention is impossible. Injuries are more likely to occur when your body is asked to do something it's not capable of doing, which happens regularly when you lift heavy weights and your joints aren't up to snuff. With grade-a joints, you're less likely to get injured in the gym, but the possibility is always there.
Lastly, this is not a corrective program. This is an inspection. The point is to identify your weak links and troublesome areas. To correct your deficiencies, you can go alone or sign up for Zero to Barbell: Repair. (You have to go through Z2B: Inspection in order to get to Z2B: Repair.)
