and learning about genetics can help you create proper expectations, which is important because expectations are huge. you can suffocate yourself if you have shit expectations.
you can have the best training program and eating plan in the universe, but if you expect your body to change overnight, you aren’t going to stick with the training or the eating long enough for results to show.
because you’ll look in the mirror, be dissatisfied, and then quit — even though EVERYTHING is properly aligned (aside from your expectations, of course)
“Expectations” aren’t WHAT BRINGS MOST PEOPLE TO THE LAND OF GENETICS.
MOST PEOPLE DON’T WONDER and set good expectations. THEY WORRY and destroy themselves before they have a chance to grow.
THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THIS:
YOU CAN’T CHANGE YOUR GENES.
AND TRYING TO CONTROL THINGS THAT CAN’T BE CONTROLLED is FAUX PAS NUMERO UNO. i mean, Epictetus said this a bajillion years ago.
